Death of Bernard Harding

We’re sorry to learn of the death of Bernard Harding, who has died after a long illness.

Bernard Harding began his Aikido practice in 1970, and gave many of his years to teaching Aikido in Cardiff and South Wales.

For decades he was a dedicated teacher whose impulse to share what he knew never dimmed. He contributed to the development of generations of students, and was a consistent presence in South Wales Aikido through those years.

We’re grateful that our paths crossed and for the time in Aikido that we were able to share with him.

Bernard suffered a lengthy and distressing illness that he bore calmly and without complaint. Our thoughts are with him, his family and friends, and extend our sincere condolences.
