We look forward to receiving you as a new member: someone who will go on to become an important part of our club and contribute to what we do.
As a new joiner, you'll be asked to complete an application form and provide some personal information for administrative purposes. This applies even if you're trying out Aikido to find out if it's the right thing for you.
You'll need to tell us about any relevant physical or mental health conditions that might affect your participation in Aikido classes. This will help us accommodate your needs in our teaching, and is important both for your own safety and well-being and for the conduct of the class as a whole. Any information you provide will be treated in complete confidence by the club's instructors and officers.
We also ask new joiners to tell us why they have chosen to study Aikido, and about any previous martial arts experience. This helps us understand you and your needs. It also helps make it clearer to new participants what they are expecting and what they hope to get out of Aikido.
